It's official......I have the "hots" for David, Sebastian, Urs (my favorite - he's the one on the right), and Carlos, otherwise known as Il Divo. Saw their concert Friday night with gal pals and it was indescribably powerful and perfect. Yup I'm in love. Just call me Cougar DD.

Calvin's First Mountain Bike Race

Here is a little video of Calvin doing his first Mountain Bike Race and a cute picture of him before the race. He wasn't nervous at all and had a great time even though he didn't win. He was so little compared to everyone else and had to push up the hills, but loved every minute of it.

Wouldn't you know it, right after I quit taping Cha Cha helping Calvin bathe, Kitty Belle fell in the tub with Calvin. Darn it -- missed the perfect "funniest video" moment.

Week-end break

It was grandparents day at Halle's school...good excuse to go stay over w/the Campbells in SLC. Calvin came along to visit the cuz's. Halle made a special crown for me for the program at school. The kids played in the yard, we ate too much food & junk (mostly me)& went to the aquarium. Perfect week-end!

Brittney?

Calvin thought this very flattering picture of Charlotte looked like Brittney when she was a kid. Sorry, Britt, no coaching there. Then he said she looked like the "Joker".

Charlotte starting sitting on his face and we thought it was pretty funny. She dressed herself in Calvin's shorts. She loves those shorts and always gets them out of his dresser and puts them on.

Calvin's First Ski Lesson

Calvin had his first ski lesson today! Josh and I took him on Little Beaver before his lesson started and he was like a wet noodle. We were a little worried about how he'd do. He had a great time and at the end of his lesson he knew how to do the "wedge" down the little tow-rope run! Shows ya that kids don't listen to their parents!

Owling

Took Calvin "owling" up Green Canyon this week on snowshoes. We just go up at night and make owls sounds and listen for a reply. I know it's funny but it's in one of Calvin's books that he has and he's always asked us to take him "owling". He got snowshoes for Christmas and has loved them. I don't understand why every time he stops he has to throw himself on the ground. Tiring!

Beginner blogger needing help

I'm trying to figure out how to link photo albums (one for each family) to this blog. I've been working at setting up albums online through SnapFish that all of us can load pictures into. Somehow there is a way to link this to my blog. At this point, Jason is the "pro" on how to do this sort of thing. Jason, am I hearing you offer?

Our "kids"

We don't have kids yet, but right now our dogs are our bundles of joy.... at least most of the time. The rest of the time they are lil stinkers! The biting, the barking, the whining, the lack of potty training.... oh well. They're cute, so I guess it's ok. :) My mom says it's helping us prepare for when we DO have kids, probably cuz kids do all that too. Ha ha!

Christmas with the In-laws...

Hi Family,

We're just finishing up a 2 week stay here in Tulsa, OK with the in-laws.  We've had a great trip and are sad to be leaving, but are also ready to get back home and into a routine.  The trip started off a bit rocky with Halle showing signs of pink-eye on the way to the airport.  Our flight was of course delayed but luckily Ian's brother Mason was there to help with the girls.  (Ian had to work and wasn't coming for a few more days.)  The girls were actually really well behaved, and LOVED the plane ride.  They were pretty hilarious to watch.  As we were taking off I heard Halle tell Mia to 'Hang on tight!' at which point they both grabbed their arm rests and pushed their bodies back into their seats as hard as possible.  The people around us thought it was pretty amusing.  At one point in the flight I looked over and both girls had their tray tables down and were using them as ottomans for their feet as they read their 'skymall magazines.'  Oh yeah, side note:  I chatted the brothers' old roommate with the 'EMO' style (can't remember his name) while waiting for our flight.  Small world.  Anyhow Halle's health issues were just a first in a long line of ailments the girls have suffered while here.  Halle got a double ear infection, then Vivian got a double ear infection, then Mia got pink-eye.  We've been on a lot of antibiotics and will hopefully be all cleared up for the plane ride home.  

We celebrated the holidays in the typical way by eating way too much, watching lots of movies and playing lots of games.  We also had a pretty good time having "wiggle car races" which I can hopefully include a video of.  I'll also try to include some pictures if I can figure out how to post them.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Miss you all!
